Assessment Assessment is a group of tasks given to the students in order to analyze the progress in the classroom. There are 2 types of assessments Formal and Informal. As teachers, we need to find tools to help our students reach the goals of the subject material. In order to do that, we need to find ways to effectively and fairly test all students; keeping in mind that each student has a different capacity of learning and accumulating knowledge. Feedback is important in assessments because the students will better understand the challenging points of comprehension and we will facilitate them the information needed for them to improve for themselves. Evaluation Informal assessment requires planning. Teachers must identify which areas are going to be planned first (linguistic and non-linguistic factors) and how much time will be dedicate to each area. Teachers must also plan which areas they are going to emphasize. Teachers must know beforehand which areas of the subject will carry the most weight in order to ensure that those subjects receive the necessary emphasis . Timing is another challenging task, because the teacher needs to know how much time is required in and out of the classroom.(teacher must think in the time to prepare lessons and materials) Testing Testing is the part of the evaluation process where the teacher checks the comprehension level of the material. Learning Learning is the method used by the teacher to communicate with students the subjects in question. These methods of learning must be based in strategies, skills, attitudes and values of the materials in use. Terms Relations Evaluation is the final data that the teacher obtains after testing. The teacher uses a method to teach the students using different assessments according to the needs of his or her students. In other words assessments are the tasks given to the students through a teaching method to help students to reach the goals of the subject and to be able to find the way to test them and evaluate them. Teachers need assessments to be able to obtain an evaluation over the students and these results are going to be obtain by testing and grading the progress of the students.
