We must admit that we were a little bit confused at the beginning of the unit because we were thinking of the techniques for each skill as exercises for the students to learn the foreign language.

Now we have learned that teachers assess Ss' in order to help direct they improvement and growth. Testing allow teachers to see if the learners have really achieved the objectives of the course or lesson. So teaching exercises involve support from the teacher.
